2011 November 27 - CLUB TOUR - Mt Tamborine

27/11/2011

Beaudesert - Mt Tamborine

What a great day - perfect weather and perfect company as 7 Model A's, 1 Classic and 4 Moderns travelled to Beaudesert then on to Mt Tamborine. Thanks to our member Steve we enjoyed a terrific lunch venue in his beautiful front garden. Steve even organised a lovely breeze that kept us all cool under the shade of an enormous Jacaranda tree. The journey up the mountain wasn't the greatest with not one, but two flat tyres (good tyre changing practise) on quite a narrow spot on the road, but all ended well with everyone making the top! Thanks Steve for your hospitality.

2011 October 30 - CLUB MACHINERY DAY

30/10/2011

CLUB ROOMS Carindale

Whilst the mechanics enjoyed checking out all the Model A motors like bees to a honey pot, the ladies enjoyed learning about and participating in the Irish Mount Mellick white embroidery technique. Thank you to Russell Massey' sister, Deborah Love, a tutor at The Embroiders' Guild of Queensland Inc, who kindly demonstrated and tutored the very eager embroiderers.

A delicious morning tea and BBQ lunch was served for all who attended. Thanks Steve and Joy for the delicious steaks, Darryl for the great cooking and members for the lovely selection of salads and sweets.

Thankfully, no major problems were found with the vehicles, so all went home happy!
